The Topics We Cover

  • The first step we take with any client is to help them determine their financial goals and to prioritize them. Often times clients come to us with clear goals already set and prioritized, which is great! Other clients come to us with many goals that aren’t prioritized, and others come to us with no clear goals at all - both are great as well! We work with our clients to establish goals that are in alignment with their values and to help them determine which goals they want to work toward first (if it’s not possible to work towards all simultaneously).

  • A budget is the cornerstone to any financial journey to wellness. Do you make enough money to cover your bills, but find yourself not having enough money in your account during the month to pay them on time? Are you overspending, but don’t know where your money is going? At inColor Financial Wellness, we work with our clients to create budgets that work for their personal needs AND align with their goals AND align with their feelings toward money. When creating budgets, we pay close attention to our clients’ cash flow to ensure that they always have enough money available to cover their expenses when they are due. This is especially important for freelancers or people with inconsistent income.

  • Learning how to save is imperative to achieving financial wellness. Whether you want to save for an emergency fund, for a vacation, for your own apartment, for a home, to start a family, to start your own business, to change careers, for retirement, for all of the above or for something else - at inColor Financial Wellness we help our clients establish habits that allow them to save money to achieve their financial goals and we support them on their journey doing so.

  • Being debt free is a goal of many. Being debt free can provide people with a sense of freedom - freedom to spend their money on what they want to spend it on when they want to spend it. Being debt free can also provide people with the ability to afford to pursue their passions. However, being debt free doesn’t have to be someone’s goal and that is okay. Sometimes it can be beneficial to pay the minimum payment due on say a low interest loan and put any additional money toward other financial goals. It all comes down to each individual’s goals and debt tolerance. At inColor Financial Wellness we help our clients determine the best approach to tackle their debt in a way that aligns with their unique financial goals and debt tolerance.

  • Having accumulated over $220K in student loans & interest, with minimum monthly payments in excess of $1000 per month, I understand the negative impact it can have on someone’s emotional and financial well-being. I also understand how to manage student loan debt while still working toward my life and financial goals. Through years of goal setting, budgeting, navigating the student loan system, and maximizing my income earning potential I’ve been able to pay off over $100K in student loan debt in the last 7 years with a clear plan to pay off the remaining $120K in the next 4 years. My story is not unique and I truly believe that what I have accomplished so far is not unique either. At inColor Financial Wellness, our goal is for everyone to be free of the oppressive burden of student loan debt, regardless of the amount, and we are here to guide and support our clients on that journey.

  • Credit cards are a double-edged sword. On one hand, if used irresponsibly they can result in a mountain of high-interest debt that can take decades to pay off, a low credit score that can prevent you from getting a mortgage or small business loan, and countless sleepless nights. On the other hand, if used responsibly they can be leveraged to help accelerate reaching your financial goals. At inColor Financial Wellness, we believe that whether or not someone opts to utilize credit cards, the ultimate goal should be to have $0 in credit card debt and to pay off your credit card balances in full each month to avoid interest charges, which we help our clients achieve.

  • Are you maximizing your income earning potential? At inColor Financial Wellness, we work with our clients to uncover ways they can increase their income by maximizing their income earning potential. While this is important for anyone, this is especially important for those who are living on a bare bones budget, but are still struggling to make ends meet each month.

  • Are you a small business owner who’s been struggling to keep their business and personal finances separate? At inColor Financial Wellness we help small business owners, specifically sole-proprietors and single-member LLCs, create systems to seamlessly separate their finances and keep their finances separate. We also work with them to create financial goals, budgets, cashflows, and savings and debt payoff strategies for themselves as individuals and for their business.
